Paper Bag Curls

I saw this tutorial on Lollishops Blog on how to curl your hair using shreds of paper bags. I knew I had to show my 12 yr old daughter, she is so into hairstyling right now. Well she didn't waste one minute! She ran into the kitchen to find some brown paper lunch bags and got to work. You twist strands of damp hair around a strip of paper bag and can leave it in overnight or just a few hours.

Rayne left hers in overnight, and the next day when she took them out, she looked just like a poodle. So beware, if you try this, take the paper strips out of your hair within a few hours...unless you like the super curly look. She loved it and looks great! I guess when you are 12 going on 20, you can still pull off this look.

Here are some pictures of how it all went down.

Next day...taking the paper strips out of her hair.

Candylights = Scary!

BOO! With Halloween just around the corner, we had to quickly add these scary-licious Orange and Black light strands to the website. Imagine the decorative possibilites. Wrap them around a tree, use them on the porch in your favorite scary scene, greet Trick or Treaters up the pathway, and use them in your windows. They give off a mystical glow that just screams HALLOWEEN!!!

My all time favorite Season of the year is Fall! How about you? Look at all the colors that abound. Not to mention a HUGE turkey dinner!! I can't wait.
I'll be decorating with our newest Candylights, Fall Colors. So festive and unique. Use them for mood lighting at the table, on the mantle with a scene, outside on bails of hay, wrapped around a tree, a window, you name it. I'm going to make a fun tablescape with mine using the wreath pictured below.
You can find them at www.candylights.net.

Happy Anniversary to Us! 17 Years today!

Pat and Roxie Morrow ~ August 15, 1992
Thought you all would enjoy some early 90's wedding photos. Might as well have been the 80's, why, because I chose BLACK! Everything in my closet was black back then, so it just seemed right....LOL!

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK ALOT LIKE CANDY!

I'm slowly but surely getting my Candylights "Candy Shop" studio put together. Hubby hung chandeliers yesterday, while I tackled a very big project (bigger than expected), but it turned out so Candylicious!

Here is a sneak peek at my yummy table covering. It goes well with my candy-striped walls (another sneak peek).
